New – Xerox ColorQube 9200 Ink Printers – Discount Ink
To significant fanfare, Xerox Corporation recently launched a new series of business printers that use solid ink instead of ink cartridges. The new Xerox ColorQube 9200 ink printers target high-end business office printer users and is designed to dramatically reduce the cost of printing color pages.
As this new office printer lineup focuses on businesses that produce significant daily color copy outputs, it’s nothing new for Xerox.
Xerox ColorQube Ink – No Recycling Needed
They offered color printer solid ink technology for many years. Xerox solid ink uses crayon-like ink blocks that are easy to install and result in significantly less post consumer waste. These non-toxic solid ink sticks offer are environmentally friendly as there are no ink cartridges to recycle, refill or throw out.
Previous to the Xerox 9200 ink printer models, has numerous solid ink printer models. Launching in 2004, Xerox has a complete product grouping that is dedicated to solid ink technology. The more popular products include: Phaser 8560 ink printer, Phaser 8550 ink printer, Phaser 8500 ink printer and the Phaser 8400 ink printer.
Great Specs for the New Xerox Solid Ink Technology
With this new ink printer, Xerox says it overhauled its ink technology thereby enabling faster printer performance and higher printer output volumes. The Xerox ColorQube 9200 ink model uses 4 print heads and spits out paper pages at a rate of 38 PPM to 85 PPM.
The PPP (price-per-page) costs complex, but Xerox Corporation’s printer specifications look impressive. As an example, Xerox’s literature indicates a page with heavy color coverage will cost about 8 cents to print.

Moving forward, its likely Xerox Corporation will target the solid ink printer segment and technology at large scale business users. Consumers would love to have a much wider selection of solid ink printers to avoid the typical high costs of overpriced and often wasteful inkjet cartridges.
