New – Wireless HP Printing iPhone App
Today, HP introduced its new HP iPrint Photo app. This iPhone app (officially launching at the 2009 CES in January) gives users the ability to print 4 x 6-inch photos from an iPhone or iPod Touch to HP printers that are connected to a home or office wifi network.
There are a few drawbacks to the new iPhone app. Namely and according to the HP printer app website, printing from the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch can’t be interrupted in the middle of the wireless command; otherwise, the job will likely be cancelled.
In additional concern is the HP iPrint app doesn’t provide a solution for the paper element of the printing equation. If users have access to a small HP printer, they can carry it around and they might be able to get better prints that with the other cameras. Of course, there is one thing the app can’t do, and that’s improving the camera in the iPhone, which leaves a lot to be desired.
