According to HP, you can have “the whole pie” now with a new and improved HP paper that features a more porus approach, 1.3 picoliter color dye printing, and host of new complementary photo printers that deliver longevity, instant drying and a wider color gamut.

The improved HP Advanced photo paper features a new coating that increases the color gamut of any HP printer that uses the HP paper. The specially coded HP paper sheets is comprehensible not only to the newer models but to existing HP printers because it uses the same Advanced codes as earlier versions.

The real difference is achieved in the coating itself, which delivers a more saturated red (26 percent more, according to the company) and improved shadow detail.
