Back to School Basics
Back-to-school is coming quickly and before you shop it might help to get a handle on what you need. If you child’s supply list is not yet available you can still take advantage of sales by going after the basics you know the student will need.
Basic supplies will include No.2 pencils, mechanical pencils, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, large eraser, ballpoint pens, highlighters, spiral bound notebooks, and a ruler with english and metric measurements. This quick run down will be the basic found in any students desk and sure to be found on the teacher’s supply requirments.
Organizational supplies sometimes are not required but can help your child in being organized and help with success at school. 3-ring binders, 3-hole punch, pencil case, binder dividers, pocket folders, folders, small notebook to record assignments, a calednar for time management, and a sturdy supportive backpack. Just the same as work at school organization can help in achieving your goals.
Craft supplies are always an essential part of the school and often the student’s favorite. Drawing paper, construction paper, glue sticks, 4-oz. bottle of white glue, scotch tape, stapler, scissors, water color paints, and water based markers.
The above list is a general guide as every teacher’s list is different. Some school’s may recommend specific brands or sizes.
